Justin’s

record

of delivering.

A man in a suit and tie standing behind a podium, speaking into a microphone, gesturing with his right hand, in front of a Detroit City seal and a sign that promotes a Detroit startup fund.

2024 saw the election of Donald Trump and the death of more than 200 bills in Michigan’s lame-duck session. In 2025, in the face of Trump administration attacks on health care, workers, and our economy, Michiganders have endured harmful budget proposals and one of the least productive legislative years in state history. In 2026, let’s elect new leaders who know how to deliver. Here are 26 ways Justin already has:

    • Drafted and passed the Detroit River Protection Ordinance to create new safeguards to protect Great Lakes drinking water sources from contamination and pollution.

    • Serves as an adjunct law professor teaching labor and workers' rights law at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

Contributed to the executive order revision process for the reissuance of Executive Order 12898 which required all agencies to make achieving environmental justice part of their mission.
